Sometimes you just need a second opinion. If you are like countless others who want a beautiful home but aren’t sure where to begin, The Room Doctor can help. If you are the do-it-yourself type, we will simply guide you. If you require implementation in addition to decorating advice, we would be happy to assist you. Let us advise you on color selection, space planning, furniture, fabrics, window treatments, flooring, or artwork and accessories. Our objective is to infuse your personality into a stylish, relaxing living space that will meet your needs and YOUR BUDGET. Through our varied resources we can also recommend painters, woodworkers, electricians, and other professionals that can help make your decorating dreams come true.

Interior Decorating Fees

Fee is $75.00 per hour.

The whole beach house was looking very tired. At the least, every room needed painting and although we thought we had done OK downsizing from a bigger home, the smaller house was looking cluttered and crowded. Lisa had some great ideas. I had none! So we gave her full creative license to redecorate the house while we spent the winter in Florida. When we arrived home we were positively amazed and delighted by the changes. She had selected great colors for the walls, installed custom window treatments in the kitchen and ceramic tile in the bathroom. Lisa is very responsive to your desires for your home. She is excellent at guiding you to choices which would complement existing pieces in your home. She has excellent taste but somehow manages to leave your end product feeling like your creation, and your space.

She has a wonderful network of carpenters, custom closet installers, custom window treatment suppliers, and craftspeople to complete the job. Lisa is also skilled at judiciously using your budget in such a way that she does not suggest large expenditures when a simple piece from a discount store will do nicely.

Thank goodness for Lisa Leonardi! Two years ago, we found ourselves faced with the prospect of building a new house. Our home had been seriously damaged by a flood, and we had no choice but to demolish it and start over! Lisa was with us from the start!

During the next few months, Lisa and I spent a lot of time together. We shopped in New Haven for vanities and tile, and Hamden for granite selections. We then had to choose wall colors, lighting fixtures, decorative ceiling fans, window treatments…
